It will work with fabric no problem.

How long will this last on archival printmaking paper?

The longevity can vary over several factors so there is unfortunately no "one size fits all" type of answer for this. Beyond the application surface type we would need to know more details to give an approximate estimate. Best case scenario is usually 5-6 months at least. we are looking for a crack identifier in a large tile wall. we are thinking the cracks might show up better if the tiles were wiped with this?

This ink works best on a porous or textured surface. It will still adhere to smooth surfaces like polished tile. Just not as well as a surface with some coarseness. Should work fine for this intended purpose, but of course recommend to test a small area first to ensure it will meet your needs. Thank you
