I have to dye my beard. And it always comes out way too black. I use the Volt product to add high lights for a more natural look and it works sooooo well! Super happy. It stays on all day. Just be sure to apply the volt and let it dry before applying any other product.

My husband loves Volt for his beard and I love the clean non harmful ingredients. I also use Volt to cover my grays in between hair appointments! Volt stays put so when I flip my sunglasses to the top of my head and then back on my face I’m not covered with brown stuff all over my face lol (this is what would happen with other root coverage products). I also use Volt on my eyebrows to create a microbladed look- it’s waterproof so it doesn’t sweat off and I don’t have to worry at the pool or beach. You do need to remove Volt from your roots when you go to the salon because it will block the color from the hair dye. But this is easy enough with shampooing or sometimes when I’m in a pinch, I just use some Olaplex No 7 and it wipes right off. Love this stuff- it’s a must have!! Chestnut is my color- it’s like a warm brown

This is a very good product, I use it to lineup and do touchups on my beard, excellent product!

If you are using this to touch up prior to a picture, definitely get it. If you are using it on stage and won’t be around anyone after the performance, definitely get it. 1. It smells like a combination of nail polish and hair spray. 2. Even if it dries for an hour, it will rub off on anything that touches it… face mask, shirt collar, winter scarf, (and to my horror, anyone who kisses you will have some on their face afterwards!) 3. It doesn’t exactly look “natural” but it does cover white beard hair, (temporarily). I gave it one star because it doesn’t perform as described, and it’s very overpriced for cheap, colored mascara, (which is what it is), but there may be someone who finds value in an extremely temporary, odorous color correction for their beard. If I had a head shot photo session scheduled, this would be in my pocket. Unless that happens, I will stick with the godefroy tint I have been using, (which doesn’t work as described either, but it is much more stable and doesn’t rub off on clothes/people). I’d have tried to return it but they don’t take returns. If you need it to work as advertised, give it a miss.

I prefer to dye my beard, but as dye fades, or I'm just being lazy, this is an okay product for quick cosmetic tinting. It DOES work short term. Looks like a mascara, but is combed into beard. It will stain skin, so be careful if you do not have their cleaner which was, surprisingly, not included with this refill purchase. My biggest problem with this product is it will fade after a few hours, and for amount supplied, I find very costly. I apply in Morning before work, and it mostly faded by mid-afternoon. If it didn't fade so quickly, I might be less annoyed by the cost. ALSO, when applying, be aware of surroundings and go slow. If you brush too aggressively or fast, it has a habit if going everywhere and permanently staining. I have little dots around my bathroom mirror and on sink, tiles on wall, and it takes serious scrubbing (i.e, Brillo) to remove those specks. As for mirror's wood frame, I can't find anything that removes those splotches (without marring finish), so be aware. Same applies to clothing.

I bought the two pack refill. Good thing because the brush on the first one broke under the cap the first time I used it. The color is nice matches my light brown. It makes your beard feel coarse and wiry. I use women's Garnier Nutrisse hair color for my head and beard because it is cheaper than men's color and the conditioner leaves my beard nice and soft. I slept with the Volt color on and it didn't come off at all. I used my beard wash the next day and some of the color came off. My beard still felt coarse and yucky. I didn't completely put Volt all over my beard the second time. I think this will be useful for just touching up new white hair growth in between box coloring. It doesn't make your beard nice to touch even after brushing. I don't think your supposed to brush the beard after applying this stuff anyways.

Excellent product. And I have tried so many different ones but this is the only one that really works.. it stays on even after showering unless you shampoo it off it will stay. Only downside is that is a bit on the expensive side but didn't really mind as it will last a long time as I only use it on a small area of my beard but definitely recommend this and I will be buying again for sure.
