Brain PadDouble Guard Strapless Mouthguard - Black

I use it for judo and jujitsu practice, and it works perfectly. I haven't liked smaller mouthguards that leave you lower teeth unprotected; overzealous partners trying chokes tend to cut your lip against your teeth but this guard helps tremendously. The gap allows for breathing even if your jaw is clenched, too.

HORRIBLE plastic toxic taste. Blurry instructions looked like a copy of a copy of a copy originally printed on a 1980’s public school mimeograph machine still in use in the country the mouth guard was made. In the end it’s just a plastic mouth guard so not difficult to figure it out and get boiled/fitted. We’re soaking it in kool aid over the weekend to hopefully knock down the shredded used tire flavor. If not, hopefully the angry flavor will translate into aggression on the wrestling mat.

My son(13) has braces on top and bottom. Bought a few different styles of mouth guards to see what would feel best. This Brain Pad model was a no go from the start. Very rigid and did not fit around the braces at all.

No boil instructions. If I could get it molded I would likely be quite happy because it's a tough little unit.

My son plays soccer and recently got braces. His ortho sells mouthguards (which we purchased) but then I figured I'd buy another one from Amazon just in case the recommended one is misplaced. When he wore this guard he said it was impossible to breathe.
