Q: Can this be used to make reusable stencils for painting over?

This is a printed grid for easy alignment of vinyl cut designs. Clear material for easy placement onto most surfaces. For use with ScanNcut adhesive craft vinyl to create your own one-of-a kind signs, stencil, glass etching, home décor, and so much more. Because it is not a stiff vinyl, you may can use it over several times, but may not last for a length of time. You would want to use a thin plastic for permanent stencils.

Q: is this transparent, and can you write on it and erase? Looking for something to try out quilting designs.

It is transparent without the backing. Once you peel away the light blue backing, you can see through it. I tried writing on it lightly with a pencil and it does erase. It also wipes off easily, so if you want darker or more stable markings, you'd need something like a sharpie and even that can be removed. I tried that as well and it easily rubs lighter and came completely off with a little water and rubbing.

Q: Will it stick to stainless steel ?

It sticks to my Yeti mug. But I don't wash the outside, just wipe it off.

Q: Is this suitable for all scanncut machines, including the sdx1200?

The Craft Vinyl Sheets (CAVINYLMP) are for use with: CM100DM, CM250, CM350, CM350H, CM350R, CM550DX, CM650W, CM650WX, DC200, DC200ULE.
