Useful tool but needs modification to work properly
The first thing I want to say about this breaker tool is the pricing makes no sense when you consider the quality you are getting. This is a cast steel piece that is thick and has worked well to use as a breaker bar but it just hasn't been made very well. First, there is rust inside the unit right out of the package. I took a photo to demonstrate.Next, you are going to need a 1/2 breaker bar because the 3/8 inch does not fit until you take a grinding tool to the square to open it up a little. It's fine but give me a break. Almost 50 dollars for this thing? That's too high and Keyfit Tools should be embarrassed at the quality level here. For 20 dollars I wouldn't complain but this is a premium price for a fairly cheap looking product with rust inside of it and my tool doesn't even fit in one of the two provided socket holes. To be fair, in all the product photos it only shows a 1/2 inch tool being used and I don't see it advertising that it works with 3/8 inch which is why I'm still giving this an average rating. To be fair, if you really want to get a lot of leverage on this, you are going to need a long tool. I have a 30 inch long 1/2 inch socket breaker bar and this tool really helps attach those to hex wrenches, open ended wrenches, and other various tools when needed. As far as this device being "ultra compact" and "stubby", I don't know. It's not huge but it definitely requires some working room but it is no larger than a long impact socket like you would use to remove a lug nut. We will see if it breaks. It doesn't look very strong but I was unable to damage it during testing so maybe it's stronger than I realize. I am not sure why that second hole is there if it's not for a 3/8 drive tool but I grinded it out a bit and it works now, just in case I want to use it in the future. I've been using it mostly with my long 1/2 inch drive breaker bar and it fits nicely and this is nice to have in the tool box when I need a little extra help loosening a stubborn bolt or something torqued higher than my power tools can handle.

Expensive, but high quality steel. Could be finished better.
The steel used is about the best there is, so this thing should be impossible to break. But it looks like a shop project. The chrome plating is rough and uneven. There's rust inside of it. The manufacturer's decal is an inkjet printed Avery label. I peeled off the label and bits of chrome stuck to the label. My guess is that's probably a smaller manufacturer that's putting the $$$ into the bones and not the looks. The thing weighs over a pound! There's openings for a 3/8" and 1/2" bar. My 1/2" fits perfectly. My 3/8" did not. So I tried several 3/8" socket sets and adapters. About half fit. I measured the opening with a digital caliper and it's slightly larger than 3/8" - it's 49/128'ths. 9.72mm. The 1/2" opening is within 3 decimal places of being 1/2".So 3/8" is not 3/8" when it comes to tools. I measured my breaker bar end and socket handles - surprisingly all the ones that did not fit were larger than 3/8". Huh. Go figure. So I really can't blame this tool for that, but it's something to keep in mind. I'll only use the 1/2" or a length of pipe anyway. The end tab is .987"x.385" - my 1" pipe breaker bar fits over it perfectly, with just enough room.

Breaker Bar/Ratchet Extender "Cheater" w/ Poor or No Fit for 1/2", 3/8" USA Made Tools
This device is intended to let me use a breaker bar or ratchet to get additional leverage on a wrench or pliers. The problem I found is that the square forged cut outs have rounded off corners that work perhaps 50% of the time to fit my USA Made SK Wayne, Maatco, and (old) Craftsman USA ratchets and breaker bars. I simply would prefer an old fashioned pipe cheater to sorting through tools to find a fit. Plus, the tubular steel end at 1 inch diameter won't fit the handle of a mid sized pipe wrench.I could try filing the cut out squares more square at the corners but the product should work without me trying a modification. If your tools are not USA quality, they may fit...maybe. This is sturdy steel but so what? Not a good value.I cannot recommend this product.

Expensive and Low Quality
The quality is beyond poor. The edges are rough and you cannot use a 1/2" wrench on it - which kind of defeats the purpose, as those will have the longer handles. At the price point, this is probably 3-4 times more expensive than it should be. The tool should hold up ok to use, but I would have expected a much more robust and better-finished tool at this price point.
