Design Engineering 010301 High-Temperature Silicone Coating Spray - Black, 1 CAN

Worked great. Adhered to my exhaust and is a great bottom coat for my heat wrap.

I thought after baking the product (as per instructions) at 400°F it would miraculously change in texture/feel from paint to silicone. However, it doesn't have the least bit rubbery texture. It has a very chalky matte finish no matter what you do to it.

This stuff worked great, I used it on my pipes, and it did not run at all, it went on smooth!!!

I used the exhaust wrap on my Road Glide's Bassani pipes. I then used the silicone coating to make the black wrap even blacker. We did a good job of wrapping and the coating hid any little imperfections we encountered. Mounted the pipes back on, and started it up. The smoke this generated was very unexpected. My entire neighborhood became a backdrop for a horror movie due to visibility. Several miles of riding later I can still smell the coating "cureing" at the end of the ride. BUT it looks great! I noticed a positive change in performance of the bike, and less heat from my pipes.
