Review: Love it - Excellent Review: Just What I Needed for My Kindle Oasis - I replaced my old Kindle Voyager with the Oasis last year (along with the desertcart Kindle leather cover) and loved everything about it except for one thing: not having the origami feature to set it on a table and read hands-free - especially for air travel. So, I ordered this and I'm happy to report that it does everything that it's supposed to do. It looks good, the workmanship is better than I expected (nice stitching around the edges), fits nicely, the cover works as it should to wake or sleep the device and, most importantly, works very nicely as a sturdy stand on a table so I can read without holding the Kindle in my hand. The angle is just right (at least for me) and feels quite secure so that it won't knock over easily - especially on an aircraft tray table. I air-traveled a few times last year with the Kindle Oasis and really missed the origami case that came with the Voyager so I'm very glad that someone decided to address this omission that desertcart made with the Oasis. One thing I want to point out is that it's a bit on the heavy side and adds a noticeable amount of heft when compared to the desertcart leather case. I think that has to do with the cover which also needs to be a sturdy stand. If I want to read the Kindle in my hand, I'll definitely take it out of the case. Overall, I'm quite happy with this. It's a very good value, looks handsome, protects the Kindle very well and does everything it is supposed to do. Now I can look forward to reading in the plane hands-free but it seems that won't be happening for quite a while! ## Features - Designed exclusively for 7" Kindle Oasis (10th/9th Generation, 2019/2017 Release). Fintie came out in August with a new case made especially for the 10th generation Oasis that works great and is probably the best kindle case I have ever owned. Not sure which case you have. **Q: Does the cover serve as a stand for both landscape and portrait orientation?** A: Yes it does. It’s a great cover. **Q: My oasis is no longer waking/sleeping when i open and close the cover. Is there anything i can do to fix this? I love the case otherwise.** A: I haven’t experienced that problem. Try taking the case off and putting it back on to see if that may possibly help. Also love my case. **Q: Does this case make the Kindle automatically go to sleep any time the case gets folded back like a book? Case I have now is too touchy.** A: Once case is closed, it is put to sleep. Once opened, it awakens. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it *by T***A on 7 July 2022* Excellent ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just What I Needed for My Kindle Oasis *by V***N on 6 May 2020* I replaced my old Kindle Voyager with the Oasis last year (along with the Amazon Kindle leather cover) and loved everything about it except for one thing: not having the origami feature to set it on a table and read hands-free - especially for air travel. The origami stand is a nice add on feature and the closing and opening sleep mode is great. There was a loose thread but it was easy to remove and didn't cause any real problem. The fact that it's fabric makes it a good texture and easy to grasp.
