Amazing And Unique Children’s Book!
I’m editing my review since we have now had the book for some time and it is the most loved book in our house. The kids keep coming back to it because of all the fun stories and the fact that they can interact with the book by making decisions. I think this book has shaped their behavior in a positive way and I am so grateful for this. This book is AMAZING! Not only is it fun and interesting but the kids learn something new every time we read it. They love making the different choices and seeing where the story goes. It’s really unlike any other children’s book... other than What Should Danny Do? which got us hooked on these creative books. I’m so glad they came out with another book. Darla is a wonderful character who my kids can really relate to.What I love most is the way the book is really from Darla’s perspective so it is the way a young kid may view the world. I saw another reviewer mention that she didn’t like the way Darla blamed things on her sister, but that is EXACTLY what young kids do. It is not in the heat of her frustration that Darla takes responsibility for her mistakes because that would be unreasonable for a child of her age. It is the fact that she reflects on her days and mistakes that is the true genius of this story. It makes it not only more relatable, but something that we as parents can teach our children and actually expect of them. I LOVE Darla’s interactions with her friends and sister because they’re not always perfect and that is what we as parents are trying to teach our children to navigate in life - dealing with challenges that come our way and making the best decisions possible at each point. This book has changed the behavior of our children for the better because they can relate to Darla’s challenges and the decisions she is faced with. The illustrations are stunning and captivate the kids and making your own choices to see how the story turns out is so much fun! I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for a relatable character to help shape behavior in a very positive way.

Fun Book
One of the favorite books to read with my daughter who is almost 4 yo. It teaches about choices and their consequences. Depending on what action you choose for Darla, the story has different endings. It’s fun to read and pick different endings to see how Darla’s day changes.

Pretty, but hard to follow for younger readers
The art is beautiful and the lessons are great, but the way each scenario is followed is extremely confusing and the pages and scenarios don't really line up well. The idea is unique though.

Such a neat book. My 4 year old loves making choices and hearing the different outcomes! We need more books like this!

Darla is my favorite!
My name is Darla, and I am a 2nd grade counselor & previous teacher. Not only do my students love this book- I have purchased it for all my grandchildren as well- its hard to find the name Darla on anything but the series is quite fun and children can choose the outcome (is she going to be good or bad?). There is a boy version too called What would Danny do- equally as adorable, I am just partial to the name Darla since- well I am a Darla! Colorfully illustrated, with durable hardback cover- its really a student favorite as most have no idea that I am actually named, Darla- the book is a winner !
