It's very lightweight and has a smooth trigger function. When you unfold it, it clicks so you know it's all the way open. Then just easily bend it back down to close. The rubber suction cups are fantastic at holding onto things securely that other grabbers cannot hold - such as water and juice bottles (up to 64 oz size so far) and anything else with a slippery surface! I've been using it for 10 months now, following 2 surgeries, with no problem.
