Hydrofera HBRS4520 Blue RDY Antibacterial Foam Dressing - Box of 10

The Hydrofera Blue READY antibacterial foam dressing comes in a ready to use sterile packaging, made up of a thin 4” by 5” foam sheet covered with the antibacterial sheet on on side and the other side sealed with a thin covering. My lesion was quite small, a small hole on the left side of my small toe, close to my toe webbing. My lesion was created by a careless pedicure technician who punctured the skin with a sharp instrument. Didn’t bleed much, cleaned the tiny puncture wound when I got home and forgot about it. A week later my small puncture wound had grown to where it was now easy to see. I tried various antiseptic creams, kept it clean, tried combo of bandaids and antibiotic creams. Nothing seemed to work, my small hole had grown to where there was a significant defect. Did not bleed, simply did not show any signs of healing. I had three different primary care/emergency drs fail to close the lesion over the next year. Went to an orthopedic foot surgeon who after examining my lesion and realizing that none of the previously suggested options worked, suggested I try Hydrofera. Hydrofera what? Her explained it was a small foam dressing infused with antibiotic that is cut to size to cover the lesion. A single sheet was all I needed. I cut a foam strip I could fold over and place between the toes. The bacterial side of the dressing was held tightly between the toes. Put on a sock and went about my day. After applying the dressing for six days I saw the first signs of healing. Kept up with what I had been doing, keeping a Hydrofera dressing up against the lesion 24/7. The healing continued to where I was told this week by my foot doctor I was healed! Finally! Hydrofera worked. Was a very effective dressing that by its simple design kept the antibacterial dressing right where it needed to be, right up against my lesion. Highly recommend Hydrofera. I was looking at possible surgery if this had not worked. I am quite happy. Lots of applications for difficult wounds.

I like the fact that this product is both antibacterial and anti fungal.It also saves me money because it comes as one sheet that can be cut to match the size of the wound.

I received this product initially at a wound clinic, and when you end up there, you are desperate for anything that works! This does an outstanding job. My question (which side touches the skin) did not get a reply, but my doctor did tell me at my second visit: it's the spongy side that touches your skin. It is coated with a bacteria-fighting invisible layer, so it is important to know when you get home which side should be next to your skin! I also thought I was getting 10 boxes for $98; I guess I didn't read it carefully enough! Since I cut it into smaller pieces, it will last, but still it is expensive. I am grateful to have access to this and that the company makes it available for home use. It is cheaper than returning to a doctor's office every three or four days!

This product helped remove some of the wound discharge better.

Were using the Medihoney dressing gel and the Hydrofera foam dressings for wound care.

Absorbent, antibacterial, non stick wound care foam. Cut to fit. Works Great!!

In error, I originally bought the "standard" Hydrofera Blue 4x4 that required moisturizing with saline. I returned those and replaced them with this product, which is exactly what is used in my clinic visits for wound care. I highly recommend them.
