NO UK PLUG THEREFORE ILLEGAL TO SELL IN ENGLAND
NO UK PLUG THEREFORE ILLEGALTO SELL IN ENGLAND.There appears no way, on my orders page, to request the missing part.The only option available is to return the item after waiting just over a week for delivery from US.The ridiculous point is that the power adapter has slide in prongs for international use but only the U.S. item is provided.Very disappointed and unhappy.

Lasted for less than a year.
In fact, I've purchased 3 of these. I returned the first one because the power cable didn't fit the drive. The second one worked as advertised. I eventually bought a 3rd one, but like the 1st one, the power cable did not fit the drive. • I was happy with the drive itself...for a year. Then I started getting unrepairable errors. (Disk Utility doesn't supply a lot of information unfortunately). When it was working properly, I was very happy with it. I don't know how prevalent these disk errors are, but it looks like you pay your money and take your chances.

Failed in under 3 Months
I've had my share of external hard drives. This one I bought solely for redundant backup. All it does is backup another external drive that I've had for years.Or, did. I bought it at the end of March 2024, didn't get around to installing it until a month or so later.While it was working, it was working fine. It wasn't the fastest piece of equipment, but it wasn't the slowest either. Perfectly acceptable for my needs. But then, suddenly, tonight it crashed my entire machine out of the clear blue.It was working this AM. By this evening, suddenly it was preventing my computer from booting up, preventing me from accessing any of my other drives, and freezing my machine when I tried to reformat it.Not a good look for a device I haven't even had in use a full season. I strongly suspect an undisclosed refurb at this point. Maybe I just got unlucky with a rare dud, but it's a bad first experience with the brand. Think I'll be sticking to what I know moving forward.

I use this to store my edited video for my 2 video series and so far it is still working.

Good price, does what it's supposed to, but extremely noisy
I have the 14BG model. As I said, it does what it's supposed to do and the price is unbeatable, but it makes a lot of noise even when it's not in use. If it's plugged in and turned on, it's going to make noise nonstop. If it's in a room where you'll be recording or listening to music, you will have to power it off or it will annoy you relentlessly.

Very fast
I bought this to replace an 8 TB drive that was wearing out. I use it exclusively for nightly backups. It takes half the time of my old one. I made sure I plugged it into a fast port on my desktop. I like the high capacity.
