Broke on the first use. Slight tension on the 4lb line supplied, not the 10lb it was rated for. Case was also coming apart upon delivery. In my experience, this is a terrible product. Go to Walmart and pay $10 for a more durable product and throw it/give it away when finished. Extremely disappointed. One of the worst purchases I have made. Very disappointing as I was excited about it and saw great reviews. The equipment seemed ok during inspection. Terrible misjudgment on my part and terrible product by the manufacturer. A complete waste of money and excitement thinking this would be worth more than my child’s toy set. (Which has not broken and is working great)

This fishing pole broke the 3rd time I used it. Then after rigging it to get past the break, the reel handle fell off into the water was irretrievable. Would not recommend this one.

Writing my first Amazon review. I am not a fishing guy. After doing some research on internet I was looking for similar product. It’s a good product nice durable and compact with a kit bag. Few of my friends wanted to buy it too when they saw me doing fishing with it. The biggest things for me was that I can carry it in my back pack. Buying this kit gave we what I need for fishing. I think it would be nice to have guided colored lines on the rod to keep rod eyes straight while extending. Please do your research for what you are looking. I hope my review wasn’t confusing.

To offer this as a beginner fisherman rod with portability and easily accessible is accessible is an effing joke although the rod sets up in 2 seconds the instructions are horrible they do not explain how to make the real right handed or left handed but the absolute worst part of this entire fishing rod I are fishing rod is that it will take you 4 hours to put the line on the real explain to me why something is marketed as a beginner fishing rod with portability and easy access and then instead of giving you a real with line on it that snaps on they make you put the line on the real which is like The most difficult thing in the world for a beginner fisherman... Took 2 seconds to put the rod together took 2 and a 1/2 hours to put line on real beware
