Helldorado has a killer intro and the Title Track packs a sonic boom."Damnation's Angels" is another really good track and would be great to hear live."Dirty Balls' is trademark W.A.S.P. meant to be what it is NASTY!!

not as good as K-F-D...but really good anywayz. i recomand this one to all 80's heavy metal fanz. the old wasp is back! go Chris Holmes! i liked the title track the best. others rock as well. Enjoy!

Most of W.A.S.P. fans are hating this album, i like it. It's far away from the classics like 'Headless Children', 'The Last Command' and 'Crimson Idol' but still this album is ok and listenable.After the horrible 'K.F.D' album, which for me is the worst W.A.S.P. album, 'Helldorado' is a gem. I still of course prefer to listen to the first five classic album and the great albums that came after 'Helldorado', but this album is good and should be in W.A.S.P. discography. Not the best lyrics, but still the music is good.W.A.S.P. fans should own it anyway, others may not like it, but give it a try.

Not the best Wasp album out there but I am a big fan and think you should have this in your collection. Blacky Lawless voice fadesbin and out on some songs and the drums are not up to the standard of other albums but still worth the money for the good songs that are on here and I will let you work out yourselfs what they are as everyons taste is different.

Decent w.a.s.p. you know with any w.a.s.p. album you are going to get your ass kicked so this is no exception. I Like the ac/dc sound on this,the songs are not epics but it is a pretty down n dirty balls to the wall rock n roll ride.Never mind blowing ,always catchy as hell in terms of the speed and rythm of the album,just rocks. nothing more,nothing less.

I don't understand why there are several bad criticism about this album, I believe it's a wonderful parentheses in their 'dark' style, the last chance of enjoy super cool rock & roll from them = )

This album is a return to WASPS's earlier sound of the 80's, sex, blood, rock and roll, and in my opinion it's infinitely better than all their 80's albums with the exception of the Crimson Idol which is without doubt their best album ever. Apart from the first track, which is an introductory speech type track similar to that on Inside the Electric circus, they could play tracks 2 - 10 non stop at a rock night club and you would stay on the dance floor from beginning to end because every track is as good as the previous one and you just wouldn't wanna leave. Quite AC/DC in places, particularly "Damnation Angels" which could easily be on the AC/DC Back in Black album and also "High on the flames". A brilliant album to play in the car too. Stick it on full blast when you're at a stand still in a motorway traffic jam and you'll never care about being late at your destination. Impossible to ever get bored of this album. Every band should make albums like this one.

Album di hard rock "grezzo old school" ma a mio avviso realizzato in maniera frettolosa e senza idee. Con una produzione scadente (ho sentito dire che è una cosa voluta x dare un effetto più crudo alle song, anche se fosse vero il risultato è comunque scadente) la cosa più irritante sono i ritornelli delle canzoni: tutti basati su coretti di gruppo striduli (poco convincenti a livello melodico) ed uguali tra loro.... la cosa può funzionare x i primi 2-3 pezzi ma nel ripetersi il disco diventa di una noia mortale.Io sono un grandissimo fan della band (sia dei dischi d esordio che di quelli più complessi e ricercati) ma questo disco lo consiglierei solo x dovere di completezza.

I avoided this album for years because it was rated so badly on other websites. Finally I decided to give it a chance, thinking it would be little else than a farcical embarrassment.How wrong I was. Helldorado, rather than being a thorn in WASP's side, is a confident, raw, stripped-down WASP album with more decent songs in their classic 80s vein. All the elements are there that you'd expect - great catchy songwriting, tonnes of quality guitar solos from Chris Holmes, Blackie's signature grating vocals and lyrics about sex, sex and more sex.Really there's nothing here to dislike if you're a WASP fan. The only reason I can think of this being rated so badly is because it's nothing like Headless Children, Crimson Idol, or the experimental KFD, all which preceded it. Helldorado was Blackie's attempt at a "back to roots" album and it accomplishes this goal convincingly. There may not be quite the same variety in the songwriting that we're used to by this point in their catalogue, but tracks like "Dirty Balls", "Don't Cry (Just Suck)", "Damnation Angels" and "High on the Flames" are undeniably successful highlights. The main noticeable difference between this and the early WASP albums is that whereby those were sleazy works of metal, this album is just plain dirty. But it's the kind of dirt that you enjoy sticking, and as such Helldorado doesn't deserve the reputation it has.

Obwohl ich "Helldorado" schon des öfteren durchgehört habe, und es nicht schlecht finde, so fehlen doch die ganz großen Kracher auf diesem Album. Blackie und Chris Holmes sind auf "Helldorado" sehr bemüht, den Spirit der ersten Scheiben wiederzubeleben, aber Kracher wie "Animal" "I wanna be somebody" "Blind in Texas" und wie sie alle heißen, schreibt man als Band eben nur einmal im Leben. Wie auch der Titel schon sagt, ein gutes und keinesfalls schlechtes WASP-Album, jedoch fehlen die richtigen Gassenhauer auf diesem Album.

Una edición coloreada. No le doy cinco estrellas porque no trae las letras ni encarte, una pena, porque el disco, como vinilo, no como música que todos ya la conocemos, estaría mejor si llevase alguna foto y letras. El sonido del vinilo es de 9

A solid hard rock album. "Damnation Angels" & "High On the Flames" are standout cuts. Definitely worth a listen.
