Q: I just noticed that the box said for Electric Dryers. Does that mean it will not work with my Gas Dryer?

Apparently the arrogant Christina Anthony and Mike W do not understand what chronology of the question and answers. The original question did not state it was on porch with awning. It merely asked if it could be used with gas dryer. It was not until after a number of answers that someone said in their situation it was for a porch. It may not have even been the original poster as it was submitted as an Answer.

Q: Are the filters washable/reusable? How much use are you getting before they need to be replaced?

I read the comments below... As I am getting ready to order new filters. I have had this system for approximately 3 months and even ordered a replacement package of filters when I purchased it. I appreciate the suggestions as I have found the filters need to be replaced more often than noted. I have found this system to work well my only complaint is with the filters. I do laundry for my husband and I ..so not what I consider to be a lot. If possible, I believe the screen used with the filter should be smaller allowing more of the lint to be trapped by it instead of the filter.

Q: Does the unit need to be mounted on a wall or can it be laid on the top of the dryer

Mine isn't mounted but it rather wedged between the dryer and the wall. Because it's waterless I believe you could lay it or possibly lean it if you wanted.

Q: Can this vent be placed behind the dryer? We have front load stackable, just curios if this should be on the side or can go directly behind.

Loading it behind the unit will not work because you need access to the door with the screen and filter for periodic cleaning and maintenance. Some have mounted it to the side of their stacked units using heavy duty double sided tape. If you look at the 3rd photo on the page you can see that the door needs space to drop down.
