My lid quit working. Replaced batteries and still won’t open. It says it has 2 year warranty but how do I contact customer service!

The same happened to me. Don’t try to get help through the link on Amazon. That didn’t work for me. I tried several times. Go to ninestars website and email them from there. They were very helpful in helping me warranty my lid.

Does it have an inner "can" that lifts out to put in new trash bag? My old one that died does.

Hello, Thanks for your question. Our DZT-50-28 model does not have a removable inner bucket. It uses a liner ring that will secure the trash bag into place.

what is sensor distance

Hello, Sensor distance is the length the sensor will activate from. This is from the sensor up to 10 inches.

Is there a manual lid replacement I can buy for this trash can? I love the automatic sensor, but it's not working in my current situation.

I'd suggest the "Contact the seller" option on the unit on Amazon. If there's a replacement lid option the manufacturer will be the only one who can tell you.
