Fantastic resource for middle schoolers who struggle with Math
This book has been incredibly helpful for our middle schoolers. My husband is more of the math whiz in our family and he said that out of all the math books he has come across, this one is the best! We also own the Big Fat Math Notebook as well. Both are great! It does a fantastic job of breaking down the information, showing lots of examples, and then providing lots of different problems for the kids to work on themselves. We've used this over the summer twice now for our middle schoolers and both kids have said it helped a lot. We had them each do one lesson a day and then my husband went over the questions they struggled with if needed. All the answers are in the back of the book, which is helpful for parents. It covered things they struggled to understand during the school year and gave them a better understanding. Would highly recommend if you have a kiddo who struggles with math!

8th Grade Homeschool Review:As a parent and homeschool educator, I've been using a set of books for 8th-grade homeschooling, and I'd like to share my thoughts. These books have proven to be a valuable resource in our homeschool journey. They provide a solid foundation for various subjects, covering a wide range of topics essential for 8th-grade students. What I appreciate most about these books is their comprehensive approach. They offer a well-structured curriculum that allows students to delve into subjects such as mathematics, science, literature, and history. The content is clear, and the exercises and activities help reinforce the learning process. However, it's worth noting that while these books are fantastic as guides, they might not provide all the answers. As with any educational materials, there may be moments when students need additional support or clarification. In such cases, we've found supplemental videos and other educational resources to be incredibly helpful. The combination of these books and supplementary materials has been the key to a well-rounded education.Subnote:This review is intended to serve as a general overview for all the books I'm currently using for 8th-grade homeschooling. If any of the books stand out, either for their exceptional quality or shortcomings, I will provide a more detailed review for that specific book. It's all about ensuring that our homeschooling experience is as enriching as possible.

Child approved
This breaks down the math that you are learning into easy-to-understand segments. I would suggest purchasing this book for middle school students no matter what school structure they have. Great for Home schooling in my opinion. The best part is when your child who hates math is now eager to do the math. It has been a game changer!

Great content, would be more convenient if answer key was digital
Great practice book for my kids with step by step instructions with each lesson. Answer key is in the back and they aren’t meant to be ripped out nor does the book come with a digital answer key

Super Supplemental Stuff !!
Great supplement to middle school math curriculum; we use it for our 6th grader on days off from school and major breaks, just to keep the videogame marathons at bay LOL Chapters match up very well with what's being taught (NYC), and sometimes puts him ahead of the lesson. There have been occasional discrepancies with some of the answers provided (dividing fractions; multiplying decimals come to mind), however, but not too big a deal, since the lessons are step-by-step in the examples, so you can ultimately check your own work yourself (which is how we knew the book was wrong). Highly recommended, tho -- and a good brush-up resource for those of us who def don't remember a thing from back in the day!
