Inner flange helps with install.
Well made replacement. Has inside flange not seen in photos, but is really the most important part. When using mortar to install the flange holds in place.

The product arrived unbroken so that is a step in the right direction. Never know about cast iron products. It is heavy duty. I'm not looking forward to mortaring it in but it is needed. The slight raised bottom edge on the latch could have been more substantial. Should work in replacing the rusted out one.

Solid stove door
This is a real stove door that can be even used as a primary door for loading wood (if you build brick stoves like I do) or used for a cleanout. I have bought several stove doors that were used in the USSR and this one is similar which is high praise. All iron doors will rust if they get even a tiny bit wet. It's installed by mortaring between the stove door frame, which sits on the brick, and the brick or cinder block itself. Fill 1/4 inch space between with clay, sand, and concrete mix, or high temp refractory mix or caulk.

Poor casting
Seems to be real cast iron. However mine arrived as a worthless piece of junk. There is not enough metal on door to set in latch groove on frame. Will not stay shut. And I am not gonna spend my time to weld anything or modify it.

Rotisserie Pit Doors
I purchased two, using them as doors for feeding wood and/or charcoal into the the pit. They are the same size width and height as 8x8 cinder blocks.
