This little fence has been great for our sheltie puppy. It provides her a space to enjoy around her crate - a safe place for me to set her while I’m in the house but can’t watch her as closely as I need to. I just purchased and added the extra 2 panels, as she discovered how to slide it away from the wall in no time at all. It is very lightweight, but works great for a small dog. Get the one like this with the door. It’s a nice addition. So easy to assemble and carry.

I originally bought this pen for my very small maltipoo puppy. It worked great for him and we used it until he was old enough to be in the house alone and not destroy anything. We now have a very wild crazy chocolate lab. I bought the extensions for her so she would have more room. If she wanted to she could move the entire thing as we have wood floors and it's very light. All she would have to do is walk, but we have a water station and a bucket with dog food in each corner and that soves it because if she were to try and move it she would have to drag those with her too (she could if she tried, but she stops when she feels the resistence). I don't trust this to leave her in it when we aren't home or for sleeping, but during the day she goes in there on her own to eat, sleep, play, etc. I use it to contain her when she's being too wild or I need to shower, clean, or just a break from her. I like that it has no top so I can pick her up and plop her down without trying to get her to go through a door. Also as a 6 pen configuration we have to make it a octagon shape because the rectangle for us wasn't stable. We still use a crate for sleeping, but if she were smaller I would use this. We purchased the four panel pen when the two Yorkies were very small and I was not sure how our old Llasa Apso would accept them. They were just the right height for me to bend over and too small for the other dogs to try jumping in. But as they grew we decided the added panels would be nice when we were outside. We live in a very rural mountainous area of Kentucky. Coyotes and mountain lions are not unheard of here, so these tiny puppies still cannot be let out to play without supervision. If I can just go sit they will play close to where I am, if I am gardening and paying them no attention with all the toys in the world they still fuss and I usually put them in the house. For what it was designed for, the extra panels make great sense. It gives the dogs more room to move around when they cannot be free, but the smaller size is great for their security feeling for sleeping. Thankfully they are very easy to put up and take apart. It is very sturdily made and if I needed another I would certainly not hesitate to buy. However these have the appearance and usage that suggests they will never need to be replaced. I would think they would be great for breeders when they are showing pups to those who want to buy one.

I love this product. I purchased several of the additional panels to customize my set up. I am using this for our Golden Retriever puppy. We teach our dogs to stay in a specific area in the house and this versatile product has made it so handy to give him plenty of space and ensure he is secure while we are not watching him. Our pup has taken to this set up at his "safe zone" and feels secure inside and this has helped with housebreaking as he will not "go" in his little house. We had to add a little weight to the door to make sure he does not tip or damage the hinges and the weights have worked perfect! I will be taking sections of this lightweight but durable pen with us when we travel. I love that you can anchor the panels to the ground to keep the pen secure. Excellent product!

This was a nice splash of color for my two new baby girls! I have long used the Iris playpen in white but decided after nearly a decade to throw out the old ones and start new. I ordered several so I could construct the set up to fit the room and temporary flooring. I didn’t give it a full five stars because some pieces were a bit warped and pull on the others, and some of the poles rubber tops were cracked Aside from that I will say the more you add the less sturdy it is which is why we put a border around it once we set it all up- but that is because we have 3 on each side- 12 in total (plus a smaller set up on the side for the older dog to be close to the puppies without being bothered). I am very happy with it. Great for travel and ridiculously easy to set up, also cleaning is a breeze.

17 years ago I bought a pen that was 2 feet by 4 feet for a Maltese puppy that was made out of PVC pipe. It worked great for her and was looking for something similar for a new puppy. at first we bought a large cage because I wanted to put a puppy pad and little crate and food and water and inside. But found that we had to crawl Inside the Cage to change the potty pad and food and water. I quickly ordered this pen from Iris and it was exactly what I wanted. he now has a 32 by 32 pen to sleep in at night or if we go away. it has a door on one side for easy access and easily fits his little sleeping crate potty pad food and water and toys. He's a very vocal dog at times but from the first night on he hasn't made one sound while we're in bed.
