Simplicity & Accuracy
This is my second Ambient PWS. I received this as a Christmas gift. Easy to run through the instructions but the user should use the video based tutorial rather than the printed instructions. Accuracy seems perfect but I had to spend a bit of time calibrating the baramoter. I would recommend this model for any weather enthusiast.

DO NOT BUY IF IN UK
Having reported to them that this item has been supplied to the UK with only an American 2 pin plug their response is go and buy something to change from 110 volts to 240 volts.!!!This is not good, if you order something from Amazon in the UK you should expect the item to arrive in the correct format to use it in the UK. I now have an expensive item that is useless unless I spend time and money trying to find something to get it to work!!Very Very poor service avoid!!!EditIts now 3 months and the seller hasn't resolved the issue so I have spent over £300 on an item that is useless.Amazon should allow a retailer to sell to a UK buyer a product that will never work in the UK but I suppose Amazon have my £330 so why would they care. No wonder JEFF BEZOS looks so smug when on TV!!!

Works ok but
It was quite easy to set up. The biggest problem was deciding where to put it. Nowhere is ideal. It is a shame they do not include a pole and fixings. The console is quite hard to read unless you are looking down at it. After about a month it no longer communicated with the apps on my iPhone or Mac computer. I contacted support who sent me the instructions for setting up the wifi connection. This worked. But no explanation why the wifi connection had been lost. I hope this is not a regular problem. I was disappointed to see that ambient only gave a 1 year warrenty whereas the other weather stations listed had warranties of 2 or 5 years. There is leaflet offering an extended warrenty. However this costs £25. I was interested in getting an extra sensor for £29.25. But with shipping from the USA and tax this cost rose to £63.15. Finally I am not sure if it automatically calibrated its pressure sensor. So for these reasons I have deducted 1 star. Also it has again lost its wifi connection. It is quite tedious re-setting up the wifi connection.

Broken after two months of island winter weather
The functionality of this station is great, but it's not suited for rough weather. It took barely two months of winter weather on the Western Isles (Scotland) and half the sensor array doesn't work anymore (did all the resets, fresh battery yada yada). Water has seeped into the battery compartment, causing rust there, and I can only assume that the rest of the device has also been soaked. I can only recommend this product for use in a tranquil, gentle-rain kind of environment.
