Boye Needlemaster Replacement Cables, 12"

These came in a multi pack which was a pleasant surprise at first which quickly became "now I get why". The cables themselves are pretty much frozen in a huge bended loop as the cable will not relax. Also, one cable was defective at the connection portion that screws into the needle. The screw portion was manufactured askew such that the yarn was continually getting caught in the part that projected beyond the silicone cable. That's when having the extra came in handy as I had to throw out the defective cable.

The joins on this cable are so long that I can't knit with the 12" cable using the standard 4" tips. I should have a comfortable 20" cable with this but because of the joins I can't even get my tips to meet in a way that allows me to knit.

Was excited to try out the boye interchangeable needle set to make a hat. I bought this cable specifically for that purpose. I went to knit the hat and the tip of the cable with the threads broke off in the needles. Had to return both items and will be bringing my business to another company.

My set I bought had one cable unusable as the connector didn't go all the way in. I was glad I had bought this extra cable as I knew I would need two for the project I was starting. Now I still need a second one but at least I have one to get started.

Requires adapters to attach to larger needles.

If you're looking for 12" cables for your Boye interchangeable needles, this is it! I lost my original 12" cable that came with my set so I was so happy to find this gem! It worked perfectly with my set of needles.

I bought this to replace a cable in which the threaded male connector broke off, only to have the same break occur with this one within 20 minutes of use. I would recommend a sturdier product if you're working with thick yarn and size 15 needles.

I like the cable, I have not used it but am using cables from the set that I got that one for. The only thing that I would change on the cable would be to taper the cable more so small stitches would slip back up the needle easier..

Returned. It doesn't come with any extra adapters to attach it, so it was useless.
