TECHEF - Onyx Collection 8-Inch Nonstick Frying Pan Skillet, PFOA-Free, Dishwasher Oven Safe, Stainless Steel Handle, Induction-Ready, Made in Korea (8-inch)

A part of the coating came off within 2 months of owning it. I only used it about once per week, never with metal utensils and was careful when cleaning it. This is not my first non-stick pan and I've never had an issue like this. I contacted Techef about the warranty. After a week of radio silence I emailed them again only to be told I had two options. Option 1 I can take more pictures (for unknown reasons) and send them a check for $10, $5 for shipping and $5 for "expedited service fee" or option 2 I can send the pan back for them to "evaluate" at my cost for shipping and a $5 check for return shipping. They made a pan with a defect and want me to pay more to get another, I don't think so.. DO NOT BUY.

I have a full array of tri-ply pots and pans but have been returning to teflon cookware due to my excellent experiences with TECHEF's products - their even heat distribution and ease of cleaning are unmatched. I had previously purchased two 12" TECHEF teflon frying pans with great experiences but sometimes they were a bit large for the preparation of smaller portions. I compared Amazon's current offerings and found many great competitors with excellent product qualities to consider, but none were the combination of all qualities that TECHEF's frying pans are.This pan is dishwasher safe, uses a solid feeling riveted metal handle, and has incredible non-stick coating. Most importantly, the TECHEF Onyx collection (and really their entire product line from personal experience) have a substantial feel to them, with this 8-inch frying pan weighing in at 1 pound 5 ounces. The handle is metal (not plastic), riveted onto the body. The underside conducts heat evenly and rapidly from my gas burners. I've found TECHEF's teflon coating to be unmatched with extremely easy cleanup after having had some time to cool post-cooking.I have no criticisms of this pan but if I was pressed to find fault perhaps inclusion of a lid would have been nice or a contoured pour on the side. I do have plenty of lids that work with this fine piece of cookware.You'll be able to tell from my quick photos that this is a quality product with a contemporary designed yet highly functional. It's my suggestion that you overlook the similar products in the sub-$20 range because while they may be adequate, they won't offer the lifespan of use or refinement of TECHEF's products. All things considered, I am extremely happy with my purchase and plan for more in the very near future.

I purchased this pan for our home use (to replace a Cuisinart that had started to round out on the bottom). First thing you notice is how good the pan looks visually, then as you inspect it you see the quality come through from the appearance of the non stick surface to the bottom heat spreading surface that just looks like its going to be great for even heart distribution to your cooking. Time to cook and test. The pan heated well, spread the heat well across the pan seemingly evenly by the look of the even appearance of the food. Cleaning it was great, no fuss, easy to wash, nothing stuck, not to rub to hard. It was great. I will replace my other 8 and 10 inch soon with this brand.

We've owned this pan for 3 months and purchased it for use on an inductive stove to replace an Onieda pan we'd had for 3 years. We use only wooden or silicone utensils with the pan and we always hand wash it. The initial non-stick surface was very impressive. It has degraded a little from the initial surface, but is still excellent.The Good:- Our pan bottom is flat, so liquids like oil stay about where we put them. You only need oil for flavoring, however. The nonstick surface works very well.- It cleans very easily.- It cooks reasonably evenly.What I Wish Was Better:- The pan is a little shallow and the rim doesn't come up to fit our frying pan covers the way the Onieda did.- To accommodate induction stove tops, the pan has a magnetic piece of metal on the bottom. It requires much more power than or other pans because this is a less efficient way to make pans induction ready.- Also, because of the plate, it's tricky to keep the pan centered on the magnetic burner. You have to be careful that the pan is really on the burner at all times.

Have been using for a good 6 months now so I can say it's been living up to the promise of nonstick cookware. I use it 3 or 4 times a week to make breakfast, lunch or dinner. I use it for scrambles, hash browns, bacon, stir frys, potstickers, fried rice, fish, chicken, beef and veggies. I only cook at medium as recommended even though it takes longer. The pan has not lost it dark grey color or slippery surface yet. Cleanup is quick with some water, small bit of soap and soft sponge. Before washing, I let it cool with some water in the pan to dissipate the heat. I don't know if this helps but it works for me.

I was looking for a relatively inexpensive non-stick pan that was not coated with one of the chemicals that have been shown to cause potential health problems for the few disshes I prepare where a non-stick pan is a real and necessary convenience. I had tried other less expensive pans over the years and all lost their no-stick capability or had other shortcomings that rendered them more or less useless. I took a chance on this pan based on the write-up and reviews. So far it has been great and its not-stick surface has functioned well . It doesn't heat as evenly as my cast iron or some of my other pans but it does heat mostly evenly. The non-stick surface has been very durable so far with no scratching or marks. I have been washing it by hand as there has been no need for the deeper cleaning ( and potential damage) of running it through the dishwasher. All in all I have been very satisfied with this pan and the price was very reasonable.

Have been using non stick pans on induction cooker for quite some years but the induction plates stuck to the bottom of the cookware would come off in places and the pan would lose its balance.This pan says it’s hevi base and comes with a lifetime warranty,so decided to give it a try.The experience has been so far good .Will certainly post an updated review in case of any problem.

Total geniales Teil. Funktioniert besser, als alles, was wir bisher hatten. Wir kaufen unsere Pfannen und Töpfe ab jetzt nur noch von TECHEF. Haben uns auch die Grillplatte von TECHEF gekauft und die ist genauso spitze.
