This is a great alternative to the OEM part at five or six times the price. Can't tell a difference honestly other than the leather is not quite as thick. But great ebony color and texture match. The part has one engineering flaw: there are two tabs that are supposed to insert through two holes in the hinge to assist in lining up the four mounting screw holes. The tabs are too close together and do not fit into the OEM hinge holes. You have to remove at least one of them if not both, but they serve no significant function that I can see once the screws are tightened in place. Another pointer: the four screw holes at the hinge mount are only pilot holes and are much smaller than the screws provided (as well as the OEM screws, which are slightly bigger than the ones provided). Before installing, screw a screw about half way into each hole and then back it out--it will prep the hole and be much easier to install once the lid is in place on the hinge.

I had this part professionally installed by an auto body shop in Denver Colorado. After they installed it they reported that there was a rattling coming from within the part. They tried fixing it but could not ascertain where it was coming from. The rattling is so bad that even waking a left or right hand turn it will rattle and is extremely annoying!!! I am now forced to buy the actual part from GM and pay to have it reinstalled, it is that bad. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

2013 Chevy Tahoe LTZ - Product looked very close to original equipment in every way. Problem was that the alignment tabs underneath that help ensure you reattach the lid to the hinge were slightly off; enough that the only way I could attach this replacement lid was to cut off the tabs. Then the screws wouldn’t go in, so I had to drill the four holes out just a tad so that the screws would work. Once done, it looks and operates great!! Saving the $250+ for original was worth the hassle, but with just a tad of adjustments at the manufacturer, this product would have worked perfectly!! Still worth the money, just be prepared tohave to make some fit adjustments in the field.

To install you need to unscrew the original base to access the hinges. Then remove original. New piece you need to unscrew the base, break off the two plastic alignment tabs as they are in the wrong spot. Looks good and great value for the money

I like that it’s sturdy and was easy to put. I looked up a video on YouTube on how to swap it because I did not know but after seeing it once’s I got the point. The only thing I did not like was that the button is really stiff .

I'd definitely buy it again if i needed to replace in the future! Good price for the product!

The screws in the new center console cover were larger than the screws in the old one. I had to thread a larger screw through first then go back and install the originals.

Everything worked out good easy to install just don’t close good but for the price I can deal with it.
