The cord is very sturdy and little stiff which is nice because it lays flatter and also makes it easier to work with when pushing it through small zipper holes.If you are worried about being able to get it really small zipper holes don't worry, it will make it. I put these on a northface jacket with very small zipper holes and they went through with room to spare.
