Great product!
What a brilliant product! I've only tried these on a quick 12km ride. I used the innerbarends more than my flat bar grips during the ride. My upper body feels more relaxed riding with the innerbarends. The product almost mimics the feel of holding onto the reach part of dropbar handlebars (the part where the shifter and brakes are). I am able to reach my pinky and ring fingers into the brakes without a problem when using the innerbarends. Installation was pretty easy. It was tight putting them on but once on the bar it was easy to adjust. Product came with some paste which I decided not to use. The product was sturdy enough after torquing to manufacturer's recommendations. Wish they were a tad longer. I wear medium sized nitrile gloves, I can't imagine what it would feel like for a user with larger hands.

ziemlich geil !

Surprisingly Comfortable and Effective
On a short three-mile ride these immediately felt natural and I found myself defaulting to them vs the flat bar grips. The inward canted shape combined with the pronounced 'lip' at the end of the grip allowed me to rest the crook of my hand securely and comfortably without applying much, if any, gripping force. I expect this will be a boon on long rides as fatigue sets in. The heavily contoured shape doesn't look comfortable but fit naturally in hand, and at least for me, led to a very secure feeling and sense of control despite the narrower effective bar length. The shifter and especially brake levers were easily reachable. As a point of comparison, I tested these back to back with stubby traditional bar ends installed in the same inner position, and the difference was night and day. The traditional bar ends (which also cant inward a bit) felt hard, awkward, and less stable. A few criticisms:- Multiple size options would further enhance comfort and control. I wear an XL glove and did feel that these would be better for me if they were scaled up 15-20%.- After thirty minutes or so I did start to feel some discomfort and a pressure point at the lower center of my palms. I expect that experimenting with grip installation angle will help, though this could certainly prove an issue on long rides. Time will tell.- The bases of the bar ends are relatively wide (around 20mm) and push the shifter and brake levers inward and away from the regular grips quite a bit, making them harder to reach when using the flat bar. I expect that removing 15mm or so from the inside of each grip would solve the issue (I have Ergon grips installed and this would keep my palms on the wide part of the grips without having to stretch to reach the levers).- Despite this being a well-designed and fairly 'specific' product, $40+ is awfully expensive for what is ultimately a simple, molded plastic product (albeit a seemingly high-quality one).Despite those caveats, I highly recommend these if you ride mainly on road.
