Made from durable EPDM rubber, this 135-piece set includes a microfiber cleaning cloth and installs easily on mechanical keyboards to prevent bottoming out and loud key clacks, enhancing your typing experience with lasting durability. ## Description Captain O-Ring Mechanical Keyboard Switch Dampeners install directly onto the stems of your keycaps to prevent harsh bottoming out. When keys strike the switch housing at full travel, they create the sharp, loud "clacking" sound common to nearly all mechanical keyboards. Installing these dampeners provides a built-in shock absorber beneath every key, resulting in a quieter, more uniform sound profile and reducing finger fatigue during extended work or gaming sessions. This makes them an essential upgrade for open offices, shared or home workspaces, and late-night gaming setups where loud, continuous keystrokes can distract colleagues or bother light sleepers at home. Choose Your Feel & Key-Travel Reduction (color coded for easy identification): Blue (0.4mm Reduction): Provides a thicker cushion for maximum noise reduction, softer bottoming out, and shorter keystrokes. Ideal for heavy typists looking to minimize finger shock. Red (0.2mm Reduction): Delivers a slimmer profile for typists who prefer minimal change to their standard key travel while still deadening the harsh plastic-on-plastic switch impact sound of their keyboard. Built to Last: Unlike conventional rubber, which dries out, cracks, and degrades over time and under repetitive impacts, these dampeners are molded from high-grade EPDM rubber for long-term elasticity and tear resistance. Quick & Easy Installation 1. Gently pull each keycap off of the keyboard. Slide one o-ring securely onto the stem beneath each keycap. Press the keycap firmly back onto the switch and enjoy! Full installation takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes and lasts the lifetime of your keyboard.
