Dunlop Crybaby Buddy Guy Signature Wah
A**T
Come back Baby, all is forgiven!
After having one particularly embarrassing night at a gig where I played 4 songs sounding like I was playing through a transistor radio before realising that I had stupidly left my Wah switched on, I ditched my Crybaby in favour of a Morley Bad Horsie. The Morley never sounded how I though a proper wah should, but at least it only worked when I wanted it to.Then after all these years, I stumbled across the 95Q which had the same switching system and after all those unfulfilling years with a Bad Horsie, I'm finally back in the saddle! Love this wah so much as it sounds great and has put me back in touch with my inner funky self (was going to say Shaft but that sounded a bit rude) and my solos have gone from gash to Slash! Not only does this have the switching I love but it's also adjustable in terms of wah sweep and engaged level (although I've not really used these features much). It also has a mains power inlet, unlike my original CryBaby which only ran on batteries which involved removal of at least 3 feet to change (and the only time I ever want to remove feet is when my wife has been out feeding her shoe habit!).The only drawback I can see to this pedal is that you can't leave it on half cocked but I don't think that would be a problem for 99% of players (certainly not for me) so I can only recommend this 100%.

The missing link
This is a great addition to my pedals ...Jim Dunlop Cry Baby’s are the real deal . Watched a vid about Fender v Gibson and realised the Cry Baby was probably more essential than all my other pedals put together ! It gives you wonderful control over texture level and fading with feedback sounds etc . Brilliant

Why did Dunlop take so long?
If you have used the original cry baby and if/when you decide to buy a new one get this version. No more stomping to engage it. Put your foot on it and it just works straight away. Excellent bit of kit.

Funky Wah!
Took ages to decide which Wah to buy - the market is flooded with options; very pleased with 95Q. The auto on / off is very smooth; I was not sure I would use the volume boost option, but it is great for balancing the sound between effect on and off; and the Q option to vary the amount of quack the pedal delivers is also a useful tweak. Pedal give loads of expression, either as a stab or swell; great for funk; also tops for rock and blues; guess metal-heads might want a signature model of a metal specific player from the same range; but the functions on this pedal are more than enough for me.

Best Wah I've Ever Used.
It's a lot of money, but it's worth it. I've used loads of Wahs over the years and this has the best control over the sound you could ask for. The volume boost is helpful, the Q control is great (set it and forget it) and the sound is absolutely beautiful. This gives you the kind of expressive wah that you so often want but generally don't get. The build quality is solid (and it is HEAVY) and the absolute best feature is the step on, step off switchless operation. It's seamless. If you gig a lot and you switch between a lot of sounds, this wah is an absolute gift. Best I've ever used.
