UPDATE: Clark pays attention to these reviews. They reached out to me and offered a full refund after I had received my replacement. The replacement did not have the binding thread issue below.Problem with rolled threads. Fine adjust collar threads are very sloppy and poorly formed - radial fracturing on crests of rolled brass threads.Unit has generally solid construction with four exceptions:1) The mark etching is very shallow. Maybe 1 thou deep. I don't know if the marking will rub of in time.2) Stop collar locking pin threads are too coarse. Should be much finer. About 1/8 of a rotation from tight to completely loose3) Rolled threads on fine adjust collar could be tighter4) nylon friction set screw threads are too coarse. 1/8th of a turn from tight to too loose. Might try some locktiteI was willing to give it a chance despite the general slop, but it was so bad on mine that the fine adjust collar binds.I tried to clean up the thread with a jewelers file. The brass was actually split at the tips of the crests of the threads.

Have used several times and it works great. Seems to be high quality, accurate and easy to use.

I liked the feel of this tool while working with it.

The positional adjustment system they developed for this is pretty great, much easier to get a precise dimension using this. Suffers from the same problems as some other wheel gauges, there's not enough reference surface (I understand their trade off here, just noting that it's endemic to this style guage), and it's not as sharp as I would want. I'll need to take the wheels to a whetstone, I'd just rather not have to for a new product like this. Overall, for the money this is the best I've seen. Has a great feel and is super usable

Nice marking tool. Has some precision adjustments. Helps to repeat or for like dovetails which weirdly I actually am trying to get good at.
