Plugs large odd-shaped holes really well
First time using fire putty, trying to air seal home panel conduit and electrical outlets. Like regular putty, warming this up by squishing/pulling/folding makes it as pliable as you wish, but when warm it is pretty sticky, so wear gloves.Seemed expensive in the listing, but the stick is larger than I thought.

Works great
Used this to putty my boxes for soundproofing. Very sticky so use some disposable gloves.

Useful to seal openings through floors to create a fire ...
Useful to seal openings through floors to create a fire barrier and to stop pests from infiltrating the building. (This product won't stop rats/mice as they can probably dig through it but will work for insects) The putty is re-enterable which is advisable over fire caulk if you ever need to move or do work in the future on the opening/pipe you are sealing. These sticks can be used to form sheets of any shape but you will end up using more putty than just a sheet would do. However with any fire-proofing material thickness matters and the thicker the barrier (within reason) the more fire resistant it will be.
