Buttercream One-Tier Wonders: 30 simple and sensational buttercream cakes Paperback – May 1, 2016

I am always looking for ideas and opportunities to see how cake decorators use their creativity and tools in unique ways. I've been decorating cakes for 25 years and these books shared some new and interesting ideas. I especially appreciated the ideas for getting fondant-like results with buttercream as well as the design ideas for airbrushing, lace, silicone texture sheets, and crochet-look frosting techniques.

This is a good book, I would recommend that you already have the previous books they have written before buying this book they go into a lot more detail on using the decorating techniques used in this book. these girls do amazing cakes this book uses the techniques taught in the other books ."The Buttercream Bible" is their first book you should buy followed by "100 Buttercream Flowers" and then "Buttercream Flowers For All Seasons" I would not buy "Buttercream One-Tier Wonders" if I did not have the other books becausethey are a lot better at teaching you the techniques used in this book. I love their books

Has lots of step by step and pictures to help you do the cakes in here. Made one of these cakes for my mother in law and she was blown away

I am modestly interested in cake decorating... but flavor is really important to me. That's why I got this book on Kindle- I'd like to be able to make "fancy" cakes, without relying on fondant and royal icing.I haven't yet tried the recipes, but they look reasonable. I'm more interested in the decorating techniques, and there's lots of good ideas here!The directions are well-written, and definitely make the various designs seem accessible.

This is a great book to learn to decorate beautiful cakes. Plus being one layer, it's easier to focus your attention on the decorating.

My granddaughter love the book. I gave it to her for Christmas.

Nice book, but I was kinda disappointed the cake on the cover is the only one I would make from that book. The other cakes I don't know what to say about them. But I keep the book.
