This feels like pressed wood
This feels like pressed wood, although they indicate 100% wood. The first one received, a broken corner. This gave me an opportunity to review the material. Item returned and not reordered....doubtful about cutting a steak. Platter smaller than the picture...be aware

Holes in wood looked odd :(
Love the concept of this piece, but the wood had what looked like bore holes in it. Was concerned about giving it as a gift...so returned it.
