Walking Chamonix Mont Blanc: Real IGN Maps 1:25,000 (Unmissable Hikes in France)

Having used the Knife Edge Outdoor guide to hike the Tour du Mont Blanc last year I was delighted when they published this guide to day-walks in the Chamonix area.During the TMB we came across trail markers for many hikes in the area and vowed to return when time allowed to investigate further.Using this book we were able to plan a week-long trip to Chamonix to tick-off all the walks we'd missed on the TMB trek.This book is similar to their other multi-day guides in that it provides all the info you need to complete each suggested walk.Pretty accurate (for us) timings are given, along with very detailed route notes and colour maps for each walk. There's also info on public transport within the valley and alternative/varient options for the walks should you need to shorten them.An excellent guide for the most spectacular walks in this area, highly recommended!

After using another of Andrews guidebooks to walk the Tour du Mont Blanc last year and being really impressed by the layout, mapping, clear directions, photography and descriptions I decided to plan a trip to return to the Chamonix valley and take in some other walks in this beautiful place. Unfortunately lockdown has postponed my trip but in the meantime I'm thoroughly enjoying planning my days with the guide which is as excellent as the TMB and Walkers Haute Route guides also published by Knife Edge which I have also used. Definitely recommended.
