It’s legendary
I loved these stories. I’m not normally a fan of YA. It has to be a certain kind without moany angst to get my attention. This kept me gripped through 3 books that I devoured in just a couple of days. I loved them! The compelling mystery behind legend and who the real villains are, the intrigue all of it was superb. The main characters don’t moan throughout and are actually really relatable. It was so well written, I felt transported into the glitz and colour that is Caraval. It was beautiful.

Absolutely adore these books. Much better than the stiff uk versions and I prefer the cover designs. They’re so magical

Kept teenage book lover hooked
Bought as a gift and the 14 years old teenager couldn't stop talking about the stories. She was enthralled by the twist of the stories.

Good read for teens
My children enjoyed the series. Would recommend it to 12-14yr olds.

It was ok
The first book was the best one, it was a fun and whimsical mystery tied with romance and then the other books just diverged too much especially with the second being from a different perspective of a character whom is a little annoying

Loved it!
After reading the ‘Once upon a broken heart’ series that disappointed, my expectations weren’t high of this series.HOWEVER, it was great, good story, interesting characters and an interesting world of magic. Looking forward to the 4th book being released next month.

Intriguing and romantic
I loved this series :) I haven't picked up a good read for a while but I absolutely devoured this trilogy over the course of a weekend!!The books are written from a 3rd person perspective, which I personally prefer, the first book focusing on the older sister Scarlett, the second focuses on the younger sister Donatella and the third and final volume splits between the two.The world of Caraval is exciting and leaves you guessing a lot of the time. It's a series I am excited to re-read and absolutely worth picking up if you're intrigued!
