Impressed with this drying rack. Description is accurate. I did have to sand down slightly to make it a little smoother but didn’t take long and no wood pieces splinter. Overall satisfied and my Husband liked it as well.

This dish drying rack is well-made and handsome. As the name implies, it's especially well suited to drying dinner plates where the sturdiness can provide a welcome additional degree of stability for your fine porcelain or stoneware. However, the wider slats also means that it has narrower openings between slats, so that some of the pot and pan lids that would stand upright in my older rack won't stand up in this rack and have to be tilted to the side, which means the rack doesn't fit quite as many of these types of dishes. I find myself pausing to towel dry dishes more often than I used to. If there was room on my kitchen counter, I'd probably purchase a second drying rack with thinner slats and wider openings, as I'm not cooking for very many people.

Almost everyone gave this 4 or 5 stars but there was one person who posted a 1 star review talking about a staple, which gave me pause. I ran across the exact same negative review for another dish rack and I started to take that review less seriously. There is not a single - staple - on this rack, it uses all wood screws. I am very happy I ordered this.The truth is this rack is very sturdy and has been a perfect addition to my kitchen. We recently retired our dishwasher and added more cabinet space. Right now this rack is loaded up with dishes with no problems whatsoever. There is no wobbling, no bending, its absolutely solid and stable.Right out of the box you can tell this is a quality item just by how flat it sits and how easily it opens. In every sense of the word this is a finished item. I bought a cheap rack some years ago and it always sat a bit crooked. When you folded it up it would never lay completely flat and it would take some effort to open it up.It is clear that this dishwasher rack was made to last. If months from now that changes I will be sure to update my review.In terms of size, I measured the space of my counter and ordered this one to fit my needs. The dimensions were clearly listed. If you find this to be too small after the fact, you simply did not take the time to measure.This is a well built, quality dishwasher rack that also looks great on my counter. Kudos to the manufacturer and Amazon for providing it at a great price point.Update 7/21/16: This rack gets a lot of use from a full household and so far it has held up perfectly.

This is the third dish rack that I’ve gotten. One for our lake house, one for my grandson and now one for myself. (My dishwasher died and I’m not getting a new dw until my kitchen remodel is done- several months from now.) I can creatively stack quite a few dishes. With a drying mat underneath it works.

The rack that I purchased will not even hold 9" dinner plates let alone 10" plates. I purchased the rack in May to use in a rental house we were building and just opened it last week. Not only will it not hold normal size plates but the bamboo is very rough like they forgot to sand it. I have a bamboo drying rack that I purchased at Ikea 6 years ago and not only does it hold 11" plates but the build quality is 10 times better.The only thing that the Sagler rack is good for is kindling for a fire. I might have just burned $15 for all the good that this rack did for me. I'm now I have to purchase a new rack and hopefully it will fit larger plates and be of higher quality.
