You're The Voice: Frank Sinatra Sheet music – Audiobook, 14 May 2007

J'ai eu grand plaisir à découvrir cette formule, que j'ignorais (sauf pour les mélodies de Duparc, que j'ai déjà, avec l'accompagnement de piano). C'est vraiment super de pouvoir travailler "My Way" avec le véritable accompagnement !

Useful for singing practice though a larger selection of songs would have been appreciated.

56 pages, contains 10 songs, plus back track CD.Two of the songs are printed in the wrong keys!!!!!"I've Got You Under My Skin" was recorded and released at least six times by Frank Sinatra (1956, 1962, 1963, 1966, 1974, 1993) plus many hundreds of live concert performances, and he always did it in Db major (a tone down from Cole Porter's Eb sheet music key.) For some reason, this book has it erroneously printed in Bb major, which might suit a female singer, but is completely wrong for a male singer trying to sound like Frank - which was the whole point here surely?! Fortunately you can always buy this book The Very Best of Frank Sinatra: Original Keys for Singers; Vocal, Piano or this book Frank Sinatra - Centennial Songbook - Original Keys for Singers (Vocal Piano) with the correct Db arrangement."Something Stupid" the famous 1967 duet between Frank and his daughter Nancy, was recorded in E major. This book prints it in G major, which is clearly wrong. Maybe still do-able (in fact Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman re-recorded this song in 2001 in G major) but not correct for a Frank Sinatra book. If you'd wanted to buy the sheet music for the Robbie Williams version in G, you would've bought this book instead! The other 8 songs are correct key for Frank Sinatra.The actual musical transcriptions are pretty good, and quite authentic to the record, except "Fly Me To The Moon" has an extra 4 bar vamp intro which Frank's version doesn't. Could easily fit 25 songs on one CD - and there's hundreds and hundreds of fantastic Frank Sinatra songs to choose from, so it shouldn't be difficult.There's already other books very similar to this type / series - with only 10 songs and a backing CD each, but there's too much overlap between them including certain predictable songs every time - so even if you bought all these books, you'd get a high percentage of duplicates.eg.Out of the 10 songs included here...2 songs "Fly Me To The Moon" / "The Lady Is A Tramp" are duplicates from this book The "Rat Pack": Audition Songs Fro Male Singers (Book & CD)3 songs "My Way" / "New York, New York" / "Somthin' Stupid" are duplicates from this book Audition Songs for Male Singers: Frank SinatraWouldn't mind a little overlap if we were given 100 songs per book every time, then you'd feel you were getting plenty quantity of songs for your money's worth, but in this case, with only 10 songs and 5 of them are duplicated in other books, it doesn't leave much incentive to buy this book too, which is a shame.
