The alarm will ring as long as the spring that winds it allows. Which is typically about 30-45 seconds, and in some cases a minute. It is very loud and sure to wake anyone who is a hard sleeper.

I bought 2 of these several years ago. Both ticked, but not well. Now they are silent.

Q: Does this clock require batteriescto run?

No, but this so-called clock is a china-made, poorly made, rotten piece of junk, a waste of money, mine broke within a week and the company will not stand behind their product. Take my word for it, don't waste your money!
