Well… because you have a Caldigit and you didn’t realize that it didn’t come with the cable, because you bought it off some dude on eBay. Anyways, does the job, good quality. I have the TS3, works great.

Perfect cable for high speed data transfer.
I have an external NVME drive that is capable of speeds up to 1GB/s read and write. Sadly the cable that came with it was only 6 inches in length, and my only type C port is on the rear I/O of my Motherboard. I was routinely looking for something over the last few months and stumbled across this cable. It fits the bill for exactly what I need. I was even able to exceed the speeds of the included cable and saw just under 1.1GB/s. I had tried multiple cables, but none could operate at the speeds of the supplied one. This at least allows me to place it on the top of my case or my desk now where I can easily access or connect my phone and Steam Deck for high speed data transfers. I'm quite happy with the purchase and if you're at all concerned with speeds, since it's Thunderbolt 4, you shouldn't have any problems with a bottleneck, be it for data transfer reasons or using it as an alternative to DisplayPort or HDMI for supported GPU's and Monitor's.

Great cable that’s very well reviewed.
Expensive but is reviewed as being the best. You get what you pay for and sometimes it’s not worth going cheap. This cable works as advertised and reviewed. Very happy!

Works for 4K 144hz Gigabyte M32U with M1 Max Macbook Pro
I bought an open box Gigabyte M32U monitor off of Newegg and the open box product was missing the usb-c cable. I bought this as a replacement and it provides the full 4K 144hz that this monitor supports from my M1 Max Macbook Pro. Awesome cable that works great for what I needed.

Excellent for Data Transfer between MacBooks
Brought a new Apple M5 MacBook to replace my trusty 6 year old M1 MacBook. Needed a Thunderbolt Cable to transfer over a 100gb of photos and music etc. You can buy an Apple one for silly money but Apple also sell CalDigit ones on their Website so they must be up to the task. The Cable transferred everything from my old Mac to the new one flawlessly in about 30 to 40 minutes. It would have taken 5 to 7 hours to do it over WiFi. Excellent product at an affordable price.
