Trying to clear all info from the screen/viewfinder. How do you disable the white square that is always in the center of the screen?

The white squares are your focus area. Push on the focus select button shown in the photo and select a different focus ... er focus that the canera uses to process for auto focus..... or tuen the outer ring to M for manual.focus and then manual focus. Also You Tube PhotoJoseph and Lumix for extensive tutorials.

The camera overall is pretty light. Id say in the hand, it almost feels like a GH5 with lens and all.

It’s a good candidate for 4k 60fps. but i want to do both photo and video. i would say more of photos. is this still a good option for still photo?

I shoot both. Are you starting fresh or do you have other cameras and lenses? Is this a his your system because you will be buying lenses. So gar for me the ohotos and videos are incredible.
