I purchased this Bendy Ball based on the good reviews and it being a top-selling item. I bought it when my son was 4 months old and initially he had some trouble holding onto it. It's a lot heavier than I expected it to be (fine for me but heavy for a young infant). He seemed to like it but really couldn't grasp it too well and shake it up and down like he likes to do with some of his lighter toys. Now he's 6 months and absolutely adores this toy. It's basically a ball inside a ball. The inside ball rattles which is a great design as it's keeps his attention. The frame of the outer ball is ideal now for grasping and also, now that he's older and stronger, he can really shake this up and down and get the rattling sound going. He's starting to teeth so he tries to stick this in his month and gets all covered in his saliva. What's great is the outer ball has screws so you can take it apart if you need to clean it thoroughly. The colors are great and the catepillar is a cute bonus.
