Usborne GB Times Tables Activity Book

Very good
Perfect for my 5 year old who loves numbers. Regular activity books usually go to waste as he doesn’t like doing the pages with colouring or drawing on.This one is perfect as he can practise his times tables in a fun and engaging way. It’s very colourful and the illustrations are very nice as is typical of Usborne quality. The only gripe which made me dock a star off is the fact that on every page, on the side is the times table laid out for the child to see. I feel this can lead the child into being lazy and not use his brain to try work out the sums.I had to keep reminding my boy that he can do it without looking at it for help.

Fantastic Times Tables Activity Book
This is an absolutely fantastic times tables activity book. There's lots of fun and imaginative activities to help kids practice and learn their times tables. There's also stickers for some of the activities which makes it more interactive and keeps the kids interested for longer. The only downside is that the times tables are presented backwards to how we learn them in the UK (i.e. we learn 1 x 2 = 2, 2 x 2 = 4, 3 x 2 = 6, however the book does 2 x 1 = 2, 2 x 2 = 4, 2 x 3 = 6), but it's not a problem and if anything is probably quite helpful in teaching the kids that it doesn't matter which way round you do the times table, the answer is still the same.

Makes learning fun
I brought this book to help to make times tables fun for my 9 year old son. The book is really engaging & has lots of different activities to keep it interesting.Theres a seperate page for each times table, each with different ways to keep it fun & different activities.Along the side of the page is the full times table which could be used to cheat but I fold it over until the page us complete, then unfold it to check the answers at the end with my boy.The way the questions are varied really helps to make him understand exactly what times tables are & makes it easier to understand the concept of the groups of numbers allowing him to have a better understanding of what hes doing. All in all, a great book. Learning g made fun! A+

Not worth buying. A very confusing book.
As a former primary school teacher I found this book to be very poor. It made learning tables much more complicated than it needs to be. It is very confusing for a child - in this case my 7-year old granddaughter. In fact I tore it up and only kept the table lists and table tests. It is a pedagogical disaster!! Furthermore it is not suitable for 3-5 year old children as described in the blurb on the Amazon site. It is more suitable for 7 to 9 year olds but in any event it is not worth buying.

Amazing book, I homeschool and my 5 daughter loved this book, she look forward to.her math lessons and would do more of the activities because each page was fun and engaging, they illustrations are playful, colourful and cool, and the activities are amazing. She willingly learnt all her time tables with the help of this book.
