I bought these to store and use for dispensing my bulk powdered laundry detergent. It works great and the cup attached is easily removed and perfect for measuring out different size laundry loads. I made permanent marker lines for my family to use for different size loads according to package directions. The lid snaps on tightly and is very secure. I was concerned at first, but have been using it for 6 weeks without any issues!

They just right size and love cups

Bought these to hold powder detergents like borax, oxyclean, and laundry baking soda. Powder leaks out from sides where gasket is supposed to seal. I'm better off keeping detergents in their original boxes. Cheap dollar store plastic. Save yourself the trouble and give these a pass especially if you're planning to use for food. It's definitely a NO!

good way to keep rice or other cooking items like dried beans.

The concept is good but not good for cereal. I mainly bought these for easy pour for my kids but the cereal gets stuck when you pour it. I thought Cheerios would be ok but even that gets stuck. These probably works best for rice and small grains.
