This book is awesome!! I almost did not buy it bc of the last time it was updated. I'M SO GLAD I GOT IT. To me, the information is just as relevant today as when it was published.It reads almost like a dictionary. Terms are defined, plants properties are explained, and ailments are described and different treatment methods are provided.This is one of my top three books. It adds something different to the other two. I like to get information from more than one source, especially if I'm trying to treat myself. I haven't found anything contradictory, but rather it adds to other information.I highly recommend.

Herbal medicine is great compared to a lot of other medicines.Loads of old remedies.

Ik was eerder ontgoocheld omdat de bladeren heel dun zijn en rare bedrukking. Heel veel aandoeningen staan erin. Maar ik vind het zeker geen handboek waardig. Ik zoek er wel eens in maar kijk toch in betrouwbaardere bronnen of de info klopt.

Useful, i guess, but perhaps not worth the money as it's a bit outdated and incomplete. Of course, some things are timeless and much of the information is forever true and valuable. But science has improved and some of Bartram's advice is now obsolete. Would be better off relying on a complete encyclopoedia published recently. The book itself came in good, used condition, with prompt delivery.
