My Bond book of the year!
I feel like this book was written just for me!Im a huge Dalton fan and its fantastic to have so much detail about his unmade films in one place...add to that i love the “what if?” Aspect of Bond.I Loved Mark Edlitz previous work on Bond “the many lives of James Bond” and this is a truly fantastic follow up.It arrived just before Christmas and was a perfect holiday read with a bourbon in hand!

One of the best 007 books out there.
Mark Edlitz has outdone himself with this book, which I consider to be one of the best 007 books on the market. Following on from his excellent 'The Many Lives of James Bond', Edlitz takes 007 journalism to a whole new level with this in-depth look at the lost movies of Bond, along with many other fascinating chapters covering James Bond Jr, radio and dance performances, a theme park ride, a stage play - it's fascinating stuff. At this point in my life I honestly thought I read everything there is to know about 007 so it's a thrill to be able to pick up such a big book like this and discover something new with every page I turn. The author has gone above and beyond the call of the duty in tracking down lost scripts, treatments and even sourcing interviews with many of the key players here. I can't recommend this highly enough! This book proudly sits on my top shelf alongside the original Fleming novels.

maybe only for the hardcore fans
First of all, the book doesn't look professional. Seems like a student essay in printing and contains some spelling and printing errors as well. Probably at attempt to save money on the printing costs. Though proofreading should have avoided the other mistakes. The topic seems quite interesting, but it spans over all types of media which are less interesting for most people: comics, young bond etc. and very little on the movies. The book is thick and contains a lot of text, but you don't enjoy reading any of it. Sometimes poorly written, without filtering redundant details. Sometimes you can't tell what's a fact and what's the author's point of view. Speaking of facts, the material here is based mostly on interviews with some people involved with the franchise, but no one official. The book has some poor black and white photos, but they doesn't seem related to the text. The book is quite expensive, a total waste of my money. Real disappointment. Save you money.
