Make sure you check that ALL audio CDs are functional
Great book !My kudos / many thanks to Authors who created this masterpiece !A deep step by step recommendations how to prepare for IELTS with 6 tests !!!I liked the book itself and without any hesitation would recommend to anybody !But, here is a problem : book comes with 3 Audio CDs and unfortunately cd # 2 and # 3 are non functional. Here is why : due to faulty packaging by the manufacturer ( or the printing company) cds got pressed in into the plastic envelope and inherited some glue or plastic residue from the plastic envelope they were packed in. Therefore makes 2 out of 3 cds unreadable by the computer’s cd-Rom.Check the pics attached and you will see something that looks like a melted plastic or glue on the cd’s surface and that plastic stuff makes cd unreadable .Most likely what happened was right after the book was printed it was packed and stored in stacks of books / boxes / pallets, etc ( God only knows how many years heavy boxes packed with these IELTS books spent time sitting on the pallets or shelves awaiting to get shipped) so overtime the heavy weight got distributed to the books and pressed in the cds into the plastic envelope , time went by and overtime CDs absorbed plastic from the envelopes and that simply damaged the cds.
