Great product
Great product as durable as the original

It’s a simple replacement with a pipe wrench.
It fits perfectly and takes a couple minutes to install.

When water gets very cold the rubber in the inlet gets so hard it stops shutting off.
The product works well until the temperature nears 32 degrees. Then the rubber stopper gets too firm and allows water to flow continuously.

Exact replacement and easy to install
Goes in easy, no tools required but if you have a big Channel Lock or Cobra pliers it will be better to make a more secure install.

Works
I ordered two of these for my water troughs. Originally they both leaked. I had to add another washer and tightened them down. No issues now.

Better than the rest
Cattle are rough on equipment but this tank filler has proved itself. Durable and easy to install. Great design placing hose connection behind tank! Great purchase

Quality is piss poor
This is my 4th float valve by Rubbermaid. Engineering is not up to snuff. The female threaded portion on both the float housing as well as the extension have cracked on ALL my valves rendering them useless. One must not over tighten or it cracks. If under tightened, it leaks. There is no happy medium, and the male end of the hose can’t thread in all the either since the female portion is so shallow. I’d find another manufacturer however little giant is no better. It seems all plastic float valves eventually strip their threads, crack, or leak. The engineers could easily fix this by adding a brass insert with threads deep enough to screw all the way (not part way) on to the hose without cracking or breaking. I am now going to try using JB Weld to seal it together as a patch. But I am not happy with rubbermaids quality.
