I had the 80s version of this He-Man as a kid in the 80s but somehow as kids always do, I lost it but now I have the origins version and will be displaying it with my other MOTU collection. Packaging was a little rough, but I do not plan on keeping it in the package for too long just enough to admire the beauty and art on of packaging.

I find the plastic is horribly fragile. Took a dive off my shelf landing on his back. His sword holder broke off into two tiny pieces and cannot be glued back on. The power sword slip on piece (transformation fire) is heavy luckily the clear bands holding him in place wrapped around the sword and his hand allow him to hold it up. Retro head is similar to my childhood toy and close enough to make him cool enough to hang out with my Optimus and GIJoes. Look forward to more.

As a kid the battle armor He-man the one I owned. This figure recaptured all the high notes from that toy. It's not a 100% recreation, but actually better in most ways. You get extra a extra head, weapon, energy effect, and hand.Pros- awesome- the gimmick works better than the originalCons- none

I've been wanting to spin that battle damage piece in He-man like I did as a child. I've thought about it for years. It was worth buying to relive that memory. Now, it doest feel as snappy or as difficult to wind as the original. But it works well as the original would sometimes skip over the next level of damage. Sweet sweet 1980 memories.
