The Book of Stones: Who They Are and What They Teach Paperback – March 10, 2015

I don’t know very much about stones, so this gives me a wonderful resource. The information presented in the forward and preface is rich!

I highly recommend this book! I think I own--or have read--almost every crystal book and this is my favorite as far as a "crystal healing" book goes. Wonderful descriptions and photos. If you want a smaller book to carry with you, there is also a pocket version by the same author!

This is just what I was looking for. I have a good field guide that was given to me. But I was looking for a book that had spiritual information about the crystals. This book had it. It talks about the crystals geologically, but it also has spiritual information. It is all in one heavy book. The book itself is well made. They use heavy stock of semi gloss paper. The photos are sharp. I read about it online. It came well recommended. I am glad I got it. I keep it in the plastic envelope that Amazon sent it in. I've got three cats so have to protect the book.

I have been collecting stones and crystals for most of my life. I have collected many books to help identify pieces I have forgotten the names of, and new ones that I found without reference. This book is by far the most comprehensive in my collection. Beautiful full color photos and information on so many specimens.I still have things that aren't identified in this book, but it is my go-to before looking for information on the internet.

This book is amazing and so easy to work with. Anybody who likes to collect stones will at notice the different varieties, The different colors of the minerals and gem stones. This book has it all. I find it extremely helpful for finding the stones and learning about their properties.

I am new at collecting crystals this book is loaded with pictures and lots of information which is one of the reason I bought it

This book is amazing! Exactly what I was looking for. It gives tons of information on where the crystal/rock came from and high-resolution photos of each. It also gives metaphysical properties. A MUST for rock hounders and spiritual people.

The media could not be loaded. OK really like this book! I think the authors did a very good job! It starts out with keywords, goes into the elements, the chakras, and then both of the authors write about it. You have lots of paragraphs from the first author, and then lots of paragraphs from the second author. It also tells you Spiritual, emotional, physical and affirmations for each stone.
