Very Sturdy, Looks Great!
This is very sturdy and works perfectly as an assist without having to purchase a separate safety rail. It is expensive but so worth it. I bought a second one for the guest bathroom. I have balance issues so this is the perfect helper to guide you.

Well made
Well made and hefty toilet roll holder. My contractor was impressed with how well made the item is and is planning on recommending it to other customers. Ordering more for the other bathrooms in the remodel.

Looks nice!
We recently remodeled our bath, and I decided to put in this tp holder that doubles as a grab bar. No one would ever think it's a grab bar!!! Looks really nice. We were fortunate that we were doing a remodel, so we were able to have the guys place a 2x4 in the wall to give this support (you can read the instructions on the web). I think that gives it the best support. The remodeling guys installed it. My only disappointment ... It has the headless screws for mounting with a hex tool. I was not able to loosen them so I could slightly remove it from the wall for painting (it's hard to paint around a circle!). Taping it off works okay, though. It's really nice!

Very sturdy, nice quality
My husband and I are in our 60s and recently renovated our bathroom with "aging in place" in mind. We are very active and healthy, but want to stay in our home into our old age. We didn't want our bathroom to look like assisted living, but want it to be safe as we get older. Having an assist aid for standing next to the toilet is not something we'll use anytime soon, but its there if we need it, and it doesn't look at ALL geriatric!Very handsome and highly recommend even if you don't need the assist bar feature!

You'd never know this is a grab bar, too.

This is not safe as a gab bar assist
This is not secure. It is fastened the same way a towel rack is; a little screw pressing up against a rectangle plate. I had supplied Wigets for extra safety but now see that they would not help the situation. . I am an occupational therapist and a new Certified Living win Place Professional and am APPALLED. . It was installed in my bathroom during a bathroom renovation right after I had back surgery and therefore could not be upstairs to view the installation. I thought it was safe and have used it for about 2 months as an assist to facilitate getting up from the toilet. A couple of days ago, it came loose and I am afraid to to try to use it again as an assist. .I will now have to purchase a real grab bar to place above it. I also have two 24 " towel-assist bar racks that are fastened the same way.One side of one came loose even before the workmen completed their work, in front of a regional manager from Home Depot. They quickly refastened it but it has now permanently come loose and I have not been able to use the towel rack.

Could be better but very solid
This is a holder, very solid. My only problem is that it attaches to two mounting plates that are lagged to the wall. When you lag them to sheetrock it tries to suck the sheetrock in. Then I had to back out the plates a bit and find the perfect depth to get the base to mount snuggly to the sheetrock. Perfect... until you put any weight on it, then it pushes that mounting plate into the sheetrock more and more. So you either need to mount the small plate so it somehow won't get sucked into the sheetrock or it needs to go onto a more solid surface.
