Foxelli Lightweight Trekking Poles – Compact Walking Sticks with Quick Locks, Ergonomic Cork Grip & All-Terrain Accessories – Adjustable Collapsible Poles for Travel & Hiking

Received these as a gift for the upcoming Seven Sisters 25k in NC in April and other races since I am dedicated to mostly trail runs. Using these poles makes it especially safer on the major uphill climbs and technical aspects of trails. Prior to getting these poles I was worried about weight, size, durability, and cost. I must say, the Foxelli folding poles meet all my needs + some! While these are Aluminum, they aren't as light as carbon fiber, but IMO they are more than light enough to carry in my hydration pack until needed and while using. I even leave them together and carry in one hand while running on flat or mild down/uphill sections so I won't have to put them back together and barely know they are there! I dare to say I may not feel a difference between these and carbon fiber poles. They fold down very nicely into three sections and when folded total a length of just around 15 inches, much shorter than the telescoping poles sold. Since they are aluminum, they are lightweight yet STRONG...from my understanding carbon fiber poles while lighter are also much more fragile, and with me sticking the poles in between and on rocks, I wanted something that will hold up to the punishment. So far so good after a few runs with no scratches, dents or signs of weakness in the poles, and they help this 180 lb trail runner up the hills with nary a bend in the pole (but even then they come with a 2 year warranty if anything should happen to them). And while I received these as a gift, I still didn't want someone to overpay for equipment, and these are almost ridiculously affordable, a 1/4 or more of the price of other reputable brands! These can be used for hiking as well as trail running and are a great option for someone needing this kind of equipment!

I purchased these poles on March 15th 2022 (bit over 2 years ago) and sharing my feedback after excellent experience with these hiking poles. Since the purchase, I am sure I have used it for around 20 hikes - most of them in the Smoky Mountains (North Carolina) ranging from 6 to 10 mile hikes. In addition, I have done two major hikes (Kilimanjaro over 7 days and Grand Canyon R2R). Picture above is how these poles look after about 2 years of usage and possibly over 150 miles of hike. I am very happy with the performance of these hiking poles. They provide stability during hike and great convenience with the ability to fold them into a small bag (about 18" long and 5-6" wide bag). These are NOT the lightest poles but perhaps the best for the price I paid. Perhaps the only downside that I can say is that the grip is a bit rough and could be a problem if you have very soft hands (hasn't bothered me so far). Grip does get dirty and the grit/sweat does stick (does not go away after mild soap wash) -- again something that doesn't bother me! I was cleaning up after the last hike and felt compelled to share my good experience after 2 years of hiking with these poles

Absolutely great poles that ate extremely easy to quickly pull apart and put back together again. There is a metal cord going between the individual pieces and attached to the bottom and top piece that loosens with a push of a button so that the pole can quickly be pulled apart but remain connected due to the cord. The pieces easily connect back together and lock in place just by giving the pull a tug which allows the button to lock the pole back out straight into one piece.

I bought these poles because of their price and features. I purchased a few other brands to compare them to. They are very light, and overall a good value. After comparing these with the Leki and REI poles, which are not collapsible, they seem to flex at the joints more than I would like them to. I am also not sure about the durability of the plastic clips. The other poles are not collapsible, which makes a difference in their stability. That being said, I still think that these poles are an overall great value, but I returned them and ended up keeping a different brand.

Just got my first pair of foxelli aluminum 7075 folding trekking poles! They are everything I hoped they would be. Strong, sturdy, extremely simple to snap together. The cork handles perfectly contour my hands. Adjustable straps are comfortable and padded, I love all the tips they include for different terrains and the handy travel bag. They even included a bonus LED flashlight and a 2 year warranty, which speaks volumes for a small family run business especially in times like these. One of the great selling points for me is that these poles break down to just under 15 inches making them small enough to fit inside my hiking pack or to strap to the outside without adding unnecessary bulkiness. I just took them for a 30 min hike close to my house to try them out, leaving extremely satisfied at their level of performance. Next week they will accompany me to the white mountains of New Hampshire to hike a few 4,000 footers! I would highly recommend this product to anyone for the quality, great value, and obvious pride this small business puts into their products.

These do the job, well. When I first opened them up and extended them, I was disappointed. I use the rubber boot, and it would not hold perfectly its orientation. However, after using them extensively, the minor deviation did not prove to be a significant problem, and when I wanted, I could easily correct it. If you aren't using the boot, I can't imagine any issues.

Things I like about these trekking poles: 1. Cork grip - ver comfortable angle too 2. Cushioned grip below the cork grip 3. Very reliable (I’ve used Foxelli poles for yrs) 4. Lightweight (great for longer hikes) 5. Strong aluminum (good if it’s stressed) 6. Folding design (most likely to be ok on a plane, and very sturdy) 7. Clips for telescope sections (seem stronger than twist type) 8. Adjustable and comfortable hand strap 9. Rubberized hiking tips (nice design) Also, they look nice. Things I don’t like so much: 1. Thinner/smaller diameter poles (although I understand the trade off with weight) That’s it. I own 5 pair of trekking poles, including Leki and two Foxellis. These are my go-to poles right now.

These poles are easily collapsible to store. I like the pocket on the included bag for storing the baskets and tips. I had previously used one-piece poles or telescopic poles, so this is my first set of collapsible poles. Everything works well, the lever flip lock does a great job of locking the pole into the proper height. The grip is the standard grip that I have seen on several other poles. Having not used other collapsible poles, I couldn't say how well this system works in comparison to other collapsible poles. However, I will say that after a muddy hike, there was no problem collapsing everything back into its bag to store under my car seat. With telescopic poles, I have often had issues with sliding the poles back into their bag or had worries that they wouldn't adjust again. The lever lock holds tight (once you tighten the adjustment nut). I would never use twist-lock poles again, a lever lock is MUCH better. In regards to use, they did what they needed to do. I went on a hike through some woods and meadow where there were patches of wet, muddy ground as well as icy, snow-covered ground. The poles did what they were supposed to do. They gave me extra points of contact and the traction needed to traverse mud, ice, ascents, and descents without slipping. They dug in when I needed to and helped my hike.

Not having used trekking poles before I was keen to keep their weight to a minimum but at the same time being able to rely on durability as well as getting ones that were of compact size. These seemed to tick the boxes. So far I've only used them once, and at the same time shared them with a friend, for navigating mini streams and short, but steep, hill descents. My friend and I both agreed that we would not have managed as well without the use of the poles. Feel I've got my monies worth already. My friend is going to get their own set!

The product was great quality and the shipment arrived ahead of schedule. I bought the product, hoping that it would get by airport security, because it will be used for hiking in Europe. We shall see.

I actually have no issues with the functionality or performance of the poles themselves, it's what happens if you break a part. On a hike I slipped and over torqued one of the poles and broke it on the bottom section. It happens. I cant blame the manufacturer for that. I contacted them twice now over two years to buy a replacement pole section and I've been rebuffed pushing me to a warranty claim through the original seller because I bought off amazon.ca. Even though I have a brochure that came with the product that states "Parts are available from us so you can keep your poles working like new without spending a fortune. Please email us and we will be happy to assist you!" My correspondence with the company that included a picture of that brochure basically was a response saying they "were sorry I recieved that confusing manual, there must be a mistake." The product was fine, dealing with this company outside of the US I assume is probably painful.
