Very nice item. I use it in my car and in the office

Stop working after less that 2 months of purchased ...

1st one they sent; motion sensing doesn’t work at all so it’s just on or off, and even then the slightest jiggle of the plug is enough to have it turning on and off over and over as the car moves. The second one they sent looked like it had been left in someone’s backyard for years right down to the extreme UV fading, crusty box and tape, and no joke dirt literally fell out onto my counter when I opened it. It’s so old that they’ve since changed the name of the product to add “pro” but sent me on from prior to this change.

I like this device, I'd like it better if they used a standard USB connector, and the same HEPA filter as their other portable air filters. Unlike their other air filters, this device does have a readout with some useful info that I appreciate. I just don't like proprietary cables, and if they decided to stop making the Pro, I can't buy the normal filters.

When I received my package I found out the cigarette lighter wasn’t included with my delivery to operate the device.

The packaging is quite sleek, well put together and the product itself is quite attractive. It lights up with a soft blue backlit and indicates temperature in F only and humidity. Uses 5V 2.4A usb power with included 12V socket adapter with dual 2.4A usb and a standard USB cable with barrel plug. Notable features 1) Automatically switches on when powered 2) Automatically switches to high fan when air quality sensor finds poorer air quality. However in order of importance are its flaws 1) no leverage to open HEPA compartment. It may appear the bottom and top half can be separated but actually your only leverage to open is the 1mm lip or the bottom plastic fascia and likewise would be difficult to seal properly for HEPA use. This is confirmed in the instructions book indicating that only the very bottom portion twists off. Replacement filters are $15 on Scosches website. 2) the intake is at the bottom, which if placed into the cup holder, would likely not filter very well. Even on high power it is quite slow with no appreciable airflow out the top 3) it has an annoying grinding noise when on low speed 4) it produces a small amount of ozone, though in compliance with California law. Cannot be switched off
