I tried Ayoba Droewors Grass Fed Beef Paleo Sticks, and I was thoroughly impressed. These sticks are not only delicious but also satisfying, making them an ideal snack option for anyone following a paleo lifestyle or simply looking for a high-quality, protein-rich snack.

When I finally found a Droerwors with great reviews I had high hopes. As a South African that can easily eat a Kg of droerwors in a day, I expected to be scarfing this down and ordering more. The smell is nice and the right seasoning is there, but it’s still not quite the same. The texture and consistency was off and though it had the flavour, it is a bit too subtle. It’a also more wet than any droerwors I’ve had before, making it closer to American beef sticks with a thicker casing than the crunch, chew, and delicious bite right after buying from the butcher in ZA.In short, it is a great starting point but I’m going to let it dry out some more to see if the flavour becomes more enhanced and texture shapes up a bit.Worthwhile to try, but doesn’t quite quell the cravings.

This is NOT droewors. Its thinner, greasier, and crunchy like a slim jim or something. If you wanted REAL droewors this is not it. Some people like this kind of slim jim type sausage, but I do not. That's why I bought droewors. Extremely disappointing. I will not even be finishing the bag. Waste of money.

The texture was very off putting. It crumbled in my mouth and the insides fell out leaving just the casing that was not able to be chewed

I have had South African Billtong before and I loved it, so I thought I would try SA Droewars and see if they were as satisfying. The answer is yes! They are delicious and nothing like your typical mass marketed jerky snacks sold in the US. Droewars are lightly seasoned beef jerky sticks and, although I have not seen the numbers, they seem to be only lightly salted (important for me). The meat is not chewy or grisly, so the beef cuts they use must be prime.This is the first time I have tried the Ayoba-Yo brand and I am happy with my purchase. I am awaiting delivery of several varieties of Billtong from Ayoba-Yo presently and I will report back.Not inexpensive, but the value is there for sure.Jimmy

I am updating this my original review which was a 1 star. The original product I received was quite hard and what I did try had no flavor. The seller without request from me went out their way to ensure I then received a replacement which was completely different. The new stuff had a firm nice chew you expect from jerky and had enormous flavor that I am loving. This is a real world class seller and I can't say enough positive things about how they handled the situation entirely of their own accord, since I was just planning to move on and not seek any fix with them. Thank you for convincing me otherwise and I will be back.

Happy with this product. It tasted as expected. Good! It was not dry or wet. The casing was not chewy as in some versions of this. And the filling was also tasty. Would recommend based on flavor and product quality. Pity the price isnt more fair around the $9 level.
